Thankful Thursday

This has been a week. Boy what a week.

A friend's marriage is in serious trouble,
Another friend was just diagnosed with PCOS,
My son just broke up with his long time girlfriend,
My daughter is very sick with the stomach flu,
and let's not forget about the snow storm.

Yep already a crazy busy week or prayer, administering some advice, being a friend, being a mom, being a nurse, what a week.

Yet in all that craziness I KNOW I need to turn to thankfulness.
Because even if my heart is heavy I know HE is there for me.

So today I am thankful for:
A great marriage, one that we worked hard for and saved.

Having PCOS myself so that I could administer advice.

Having my son know that we will ALWAYS be there for him, no matter what.

Knowing that although my daughter is feeling awful right now that this bug is finally almost through our house.

Great reliable vehicles to get us to and from work or town safely.

I am linking up today with Lisa today.

  1. Oh, Sherri, bless your heart, that with everything going on, you can still find the time and the heart to be thankful! :-) I hope your daughter is feeling better soon. I will say a prayer for your friend's marriage, your other friend's condition and for your son's heart.

  2. I am so sorry it's been that kind of week for you. I'll be praying for heart-healing for your son and physical healing for your daughter.

Finding things to be thankful for in the midst of those times is difficult, I know. I'm inspired by your ability to do so!

    1. Thank you Lisa. Sarah is doing WAY better now. Sometimes I feel like I HAVE to find even a shred of thankfulness before I go crazy. LOL

    1. Thank you Aurie.
The next week was actually worse as far as news, but I am learning so much.

  5. I admit - I wouldn't have put the snowstorm on the challenge list - LOL - parenting is challenging - beyond what I ever imagined - but you are so right - seeing the blessings, seeing the good in our lives allows us to love better, I think. Wishing you right words, comforting moments grow into something strong - and laughter this weekend!

    1. LOL I had to drive in the snowstorm with my daughter. Not tons of fun, but something we do all winter long so you would think I would be used to it by now. LOL
Thank you so much for your encouraging words.
