A fresh start, a new year, new goals...

I am so excited about the possibilities that this New Year is bringing.
We have had some big changes over the past year and I have decided that I NEED to focus on the positives or I am gonna go crazy.

So for 2013 I am decided that I needed to focus on the word diligent.
However today I wanted to take that a step farther. I need to de-clutter.
De-clutter me.
My emotional baggage.
My spiritual road blocks.
My house.
My bills. (LOL)
My weight.
My life.
So in saying that there may be times that I am blogging VERY regularly as I clean. Than there might be other times that I am away as I am working through some stuff. I pray that you will all stay with me as I do this cleaning. I pray that through it all I may be able to not only completely help myself but also help someone else along the way. I know that with the Lord I would not be able to do this properly so He is definitely first on my list. :) I also know that if I look at changing all that right now it will be very over whelming and I will give up. So my 3 in 30's for each month should reflect that change in my baggage.

For January I must say I thought long and hard about what I wanted/needed to do first.
So here they are.

1. Spend every single day with time in the Word.
I need to focus on HIM. When I think I can do it alone is always when I fall and stumble. I will be asking for prayers for this as I know I will have a hard time as I am positive Satan will do his darnest to try and attack me and my family.

2. My blog.
I plan to set up some regular focus on this. I know that when I get down in the dumps this is the first to go. Mostly because it up lifts me. Therefore I know I will need to post as often as I am able. I am not perfect, far from it. My blog this year is going to reflect that.

3. Our bills.
With our change in income this is something that needs to be focused on big time. Especially as we are planning to add more to our family. (squealllllll) I need to be smart about this. I am have been scouring Pinterest for many frugal ways to live. I also want to set up some organization within our home. I came across some really need things so I am going to try and implement them and see how it works. I will keep you posted frequently on that development.

There are many things I want to do this year.
Go greener.
Have more children in our lives. :D
Lead a cleaner life.
Focus on HIM.
Focus on our family.
Put away all that crap that I have dealt with already. Keep it put away. No need to always pull it out.

Today is day 4 of a fresh year. Oh what a story I plan on writing this year. :)

Please please please keep praying for myself and our family. Changes will be huge again this year and I know that we will need every prayer we can get. :)
Thank you!!

I am linking up today with Aurie and Michelle.

  1. What a beautiful post, Sherri! Awesome goals. Blogging is such a blessing that we can be here cheering each other on, because we really speak to each other's hearts. I could have written a lot of what is in your post today. It is amazing how the Lord works and brings people together who have so much in common. Many blessings to you as you embark on this new journey called 2013! :-)

    1. I find I am so much more blessed when I just simply spend time in the Word. It doesn't even have to be first thing although that is a HUGE bonus. :)
