Wednesday's Walk

My husband is an amazing, hard working, loving, serving man. He would give you the shirt off of his back if needed. He is always there to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement.
However my husband is not a Christian.
I am.
This for me has made some things as you can imagine a bit difficult.
He has never once complained of anything I do church related. He has always let me take our children to church and even came a couple times when they were little.
However, I would love for him to be a Christian.
He was baptized when he was a baby and then when he was a young teenager he had an aunt who was for lack of a better word overbearing in her belief. This turned him off.
This is something that I pray daily will change.

However in saying all this I realized that I was not as strong as I wanted to be in my walk. So I have decided to make changed to rectify that.
I have been reading my bible a lot more. I have been using the YouVersion bible app on both my iPad and my iPhone. I have done numerous bible studies on them. This helps in getting me more focused and in turn I am learning so much more.

I signed up for Hello Mornings starting next Monday and have been debating about also signing up for the Good Morning Girls as well. I am a little nervous doing both so we will see.

I made sure I go to church as often as I can and I most definitely make this a priority.

I read other blogs such as Jenilee at the Goodwin Journey , Lynette at Dancing Again or Marcy at Love my LifeCarla at Here am i... or Aurie at Welcome to our Good Life!
These ladies really inspire me to keep walking with HIM and knowing HIM.

Small things like sending my daughter to youth group or to a teen retreat even help with my growth as I desire for her to grow and I want to be her example.

I know that this walk will be anything but easy but I also know I can do it with HIM by my side.
If anyone has any prayer requests please feel free to ask and in turn I ask for any other ideas you can think of to help me grow.

I am linking up today with Mary Beth and her WIP (Work in Progress Wednesday)

  1. I will pray for you. That is challenging to say the least. However, God is in the miracle business, He is faithful, He knows your heart, and He knows who your hubby is. Hang in there, God is gracious to His children.

  3. I'm so excited to see that you are doing Hello Mornings! My only suggestion is to not overwhelm yourself. Set up realistic goals. I'm excited to see where the Lord takes you! So glad you are linking up with us at WIP Wednesday!

    1. I am really enjoying linking up for this. Reading other ladies stories and hearing that fellowship.
My goals are fairly small right now as in I am focusing on getting up before my daughter and spending time in His Word first thing. After that well.....

  4. Growing deeper faith and love for Christ is the best example you can set. I agree that you don't want to overwhelm yourself. Keep your eyes on the cross and everything else falls into place. Blessings to you in your journey!

  5. I love Hello Mornings and think you're taking the best steps right now! Time in the word seems to create a domino affect. I'm certain He'll show you where to go next when the time is right.

Praying for your husband's heart to be open and observant. To God be the glory.

    Hugs to you!

  6. I know many wives who have loved their husband into the kingdom. It sounds like that is what you are doing. I've found that when I begin to take steps to seek more of God, He is right there moving towards me. I'll be praying for your husband to desire the relationship you have with God.

    1. It is true isn't it. When you seek more of Him, He is right there with you. The more I spend time with Him, the more I want to, desire to, need too.
Thank you so much for your prayers.
