Not much progress...

Well another week has come and gone and I don't have a terrible much to report.
We were really busy this week. Sarah came down with a bit of a cold yesterday and still not feeling great today so we took a break from schooling. She is already ahead so I wasn't overly worried about it.
However on my 3 in 30 list, well... let's just say it could have gone a bit better. :)

 1. Complete fall cleaning list.
Well under the fridge got cleaned out but that was because I had lost my good knife behind it so I needed hubby to pull it out. Once out I found another good knife and proceeded to scrub. :) Feels better knowing at least that is clean. :)

2. Get us on a really good working schedule, which includes making a schedule just for Sarah on stuff she needs to do everyday.
This is probably the best. Today I printed off a daily 'chore' sheet for her to follow. I am tired of picking everything up and asking her a million times. So I will be now simply saying do your chore chart. Hoping it works and she learns to put things away again.

3. Clean out camper, finish fall yard work, go through clothes and get rid of summer ones that are no longer fit or are falling apart.
Nope never even looked at this one.

Part of the reason things were crazy for us this week is because dance is back in full force. I managed to get all caught up on laundry. I also made 11 freezer/crockpot meals. I know I going to love that. Already started using them. I also managed to list a few things on a buy and sell site and sold a couple within an hour of listing. I hope the other ones go soon. It has really inspired hubby and I to go through some of what we would classify our 'junk' and get it cleaned up in the hopes that someone else can use it. :)

I am hoping that you all had a much better week goal wise than I did. :)
I am linking up today with Aurie.

  1. Wow! Catching up on laundry in and of itself is QUITE an accomplishment! Also, the 11 meals is awesome. That will really be a help, I'm sure. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :-)

    1. Well I love to do laundry so for me it's not a big thing, but thank you. :) We have already used one of the meals and I know it is going to rock having that done and can just throw into the oven or crock pot. Such a much easier way to get healthy food into us. :)

  2. You did, indeed, have a very busy week! You did a lot of cooking this week. I bet that will save a lot of time later this year when you use the meals. Getting caught up on the laundry also takes a lot of time. I think you did a great job!

    1. Thank you. The meals are actually only for September. However I am already in love with the idea of preparing all these meals ahead of time so I am thinking that I will probably do that for each month. It sure is a time/headache saver in the long run.

  3. I think you did fine. You may not have gotten everything done, but you've still got two more weeks. There's not point in killing yourself to meet your goals, anyway. I think getting your daughter a chore chart will be worth tons, even if that's all you get done this month.

  4. I would say that the week was a success! What freezer/crockpot meals did you make? I am looking for some new stuff.

    1. Thanks Deanna. I made a lemon garlic chicken, pepper lime dump, apple chicken dump, sweet and spicy chicken, chicken stew...
You will notice a trend but that is because I am unable to eat pork or beef. If you follow me on Pinterest my recipes all come from there. Well more or less. LOL I am also hoping to do a post maybe at the end of the month with a link to the new recipes and let you know how they went. :)

    1. LOL, I knew I had to get the meals done before the food went bad and then I would just me throwing more money down the drain. This week I am hoping is the cleaning/organizing week. :)

  6. Wow! I think you did a great job!! You should add that meal thing to your goal list so you can check it off. :) Hope your daughter is feeling better or will be soon.

    1. LOL Thanks Jeanine. The meal thing is basically an ongoing goal. Never totally crossed off. :)
Sarah is feeling much better. I think her allergies were getting to her as we have a lot of grain dust in the air right now. Thanks for asking.

  7. It looks like you didn't do part of your list in favor of other important things. I didn't get a lot done because of that either.

Where did you get your chore chart? Did you make it?

    1. Well six of one, half a dozen I guess.
I did make the chore chart. For me it was figuring out things that needed done everyday, (her room, bathroom, dishes, etc) and figuring out what needed done on certain days. (garbage, recycling, etc)
Then I explained what I expected out of each chore.
Example: dishes--I don't necessarily want her to do dishes every meal I just want her to do dishes or help with dishes once a day.
I will try and remember and add it to Friday's post. :)
